Signature libraries fall behind. Cities bury detectors in noise.
Most drone detectors recognise a drone only if its signature is already in their library. When a drone gets new or modified equipment, those detectors stop seeing it until the next firmware update arrives. Switch the library off, and they react to every phone, radio, cell tower and router around you.
How it works
Drone Only mode: the Smart Motion Filter
BLIP 13 does not need to know what a drone is. It sees that something is moving toward you.
Simulation · 100 MHz – 13 GHzDrone Only · 5 static sources ignored · no alarm
Two modes, one device
360° Dome or Arrow.
Omnidirectional whip: 360° early warning, nothing to aim. Arrow: the direction to the drone, up to 5 km away. Both antennas come in the box — fit the one the task needs.
360° Dome
With the omnidirectional whip, BLIP 13 watches every direction at once — no turning, no aiming. Set it on a tripod, a table or the ground at a post, and it raises the alarm the moment a drone transmits within range.
Coverage
360°, all at once
Range
up to 2 km
Antenna
Omnidirectional whip, 600 MHz – 8 GHz, 7 dB
Tells you
A drone is here, and roughly how close by signal level
Best for
Posts, perimeters, camps, rest stops
Arrow
The log-periodic Arrow antenna on the pistol grip turns BLIP 13 into a direction finder. Sweep the horizon: the bearing is where the signal is strongest. A narrow beam reaches farther and leaves out the noise behind you.
Coverage
≈ 60° sector
Range
up to 5 km
Antenna
Arrow log-periodic, 400 MHz – 13 GHz, 6 dB

Best for
Patrols, observation posts, finding the source
Smart interference handling
Built for crowded air.
Cities, bases and convoys are full of radio. BLIP 13 learns what is already on air and alerts only on what is new.
Auto-Exclude
One press, and the background goes quiet.
Press Auto-Exclude and BLIP 13 adds everything currently on air — cell towers, Wi-Fi, radios — to its exclusions. From then on it reacts only to new signals. Each further press adds the newest sources to the list. Excluded signals stay visible on the graph in green.
The band itself is never switched off. If a drone comes up next to an excluded cell tower, on the very same band, BLIP 13 still raises the alarm.
Manual Exclusions
Your own radios, out of the picture.
Set up to 12 frequency bands the device should ignore, each with its own start and end frequency — your team's radios, your own data links, a known transmitter on site. They show on the graph in light blue and stay saved after a restart.
Signal Hold
Frequency hoppers don't slip away.
Many drones keep jumping from frequency to frequency. Signal Hold keeps every signal on screen after it disappears, so a hopping drone stays visible between jumps instead of flickering in and out. You set how many sweeps a signal is held and how fast it fades.
Drone OnlyAlarm only on sources that are approaching. Static emitters are ignored; hovering or leaving clears the alarm.
Detect AllAlarm on any new RF source in the selected bands.
Drone-link presetsReady band sets for drone links with GSM, LTE and handheld radio bands left out. X-band preset: 8–12 GHz in ≈ 3 s.
Alarm distanceChoose how close a target must come before the alarm goes off — from 1 m to 5 km.
12 targets at onceUp to 12 sources tracked simultaneously, moving ones in red, static ones in green.
Night modeWith no new targets the screen dims by 80 % to keep you hidden and save battery. It lights up the moment a drone appears.
Silent alarmSound, backlight or on-screen text only — for when you can't make a sound.
Event logEvery detection is saved to the microSD card.
ProfilesSave a complete set-up to the SD card and load it onto every unit in the team.
Spectrum analyzerWith Detector Mode off, BLIP 13 is a 100 MHz – 13 GHz spectrum analyzer.
Why BLIP 13
Military-class capability at a fraction of the price
Wider coverage, no signature library, live spectrum in your hand and direction finding in the standard kit.
100 MHz – 13 GHz, no gaps.
Wearable detectors from leading Western makers stop at 6–7 GHz. BLIP 13 covers the full X-band.

Integration
Plugs into your system.
BLIP 13 is a handheld detector and a sensor for a fixed post. One USB-C cable to a PC, four programmable outputs to everything else.
USB-C → PC
Spectrum and waterfall on a large screen
Device control from the PC software
Remote access to each post over the Internet or LAN
Charging from any phone charger or power bank
4 × TTL outputs → anything
Sirens and strobes
Perimeter automation and cameras
Third-party recorders
Your EW system — switched on by detection
RXTXPB13PB14
3 V pulse on every new detection, programmed on the device itself — no programmer needed.
EW Monitor
Knows when your own EW goes quiet.
BLIP 13 remembers the signal levels of your own EW system in every band. If they drop — the jammer fails, overheats or is switched off — it sounds an alarm and shows a warning. Your team knows the cover is down before a drone does.
In the field
Early warning before it is overhead.
Passive in detection mode: BLIP 13 emits nothing and gives nothing away. It alarms on what is approaching, not on the noise around you.

Do I need to update a drone database?
No. In Drone Only mode BLIP 13 detects targets by their movement, not by signatures, so new and modified drones are detected without updates.
What is the detection range?
Up to 5 km with the Arrow directional antenna and up to 2 km with the omnidirectional whip. Range depends on the drone's transmitter power, terrain and line of sight.
Can BLIP 13 be detected?
No. In detection mode it is a passive receiver and emits nothing.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 8 hours of continuous operation. It charges over USB-C from a phone charger and runs from a power bank.
